"Don't use social media to impress people, use it to impact people." Does anyone else find it ironic how moms complain on social media about how they saw another mom neglecting their kid because they were looking at social media on their phone. It goes well under the mom-shaming category. I am almost positive if I were to take a poll people would tell you I use Facebook and instagram way too much. That I post several times a day. And more than likely tell you how "annoying" it is. Let me ask you...what is the point of social media? And what if I told you I didn't post for your benefit I post for myself. The reason I post things so many times a day is because I can always look back on the things I am posting. It's like a little photo album or a little time capsule for myself. I can't tell you how many times this year I have looked back at things like pictures of my growing belly from last year. Or videos of Matthew moving in my belly. These are things that can get lost on my phone or accidentally deleted but when they are on Facebook or Instagram I can go back and look at them years after the fact. I post so many pictures and status' about my little boy Matthew and you will never see me apologize for it. The most wonderful things about social media is if you don't want to see someone posting or if you find them "annoying" you can unfriend them or unfollow them. It's that simple! Yet many people find themselves continuing to follow that person they find annoying because they like to complain about how they post too much(: Like I said before, I will never apologize for posting too much and I will always cherish the moments I have captured and gotten to share with others. I live 1,800 miles away from my entire family other than my mom, step dad, and baby brother. So, social media is the best and easiest way for me to share information, pictures, and funny little stories with them. Can you imagine sending the same text to all your family members when you could have just done it on social media where they can all see it there. If you ask me I love having social media! It opens the window for so much more than you would think! Love you all and thanks for stopping by, Jess(:
